In order to scientifically and accurately control COVID-19 epidemic at ports, to consolidate the achievements of epidemic prevention and control, and to ensure the safety of industrial chain and supply chain, the General Administration of Customs has decided to further optimize and improve the epidemic prevention and control measures of imported cold chain food (including edible agricultural products, the same below). The relevant notice is as follows:
1.Customs will conduct SARS-Cov-2 nucleic acid monitoring test on cold-chain food import. According to the test results, the customs shall make inspection and investigation in accordance with relevant laws on anti-pollution measures of the exporting country/region and confirm if the safety management system and the security situation of exporting country/region conform contiguously to the Chinese importing requirements. According to the relevant laws and regulations to take measures such as rectification, suspension of imports, cancellation of registration, etc on substandard overseas food production enterprises.
2. imported cold chain foods that has positive results for SARS-Cov-2 nucleic acid test shall be treated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Guidelines issued by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of The State Council and classified by levels.
This announcement shall be executed as of the date of issuance, and the General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 103 of 2020 shall be abolished at the same time.
